Every element has a sense organ associated with it. EA102 explores each sense and it’s connected element through a short conscious dance practice. The aim is to deepen awareness of the senses.
Class Description
The Elemental Awareness course is based on a map of the 5 elements: Earth, water, fire, air, and ether. They also create different movements and ways of moving. Five 15 minute practices explore awareness of different aspects of the elements in movement.

102 – The 5 Senses
The Elemental Awareness course is based on a map of the 5 elements. Earth, water, fire, air and ether. Each element gives rise to different tones, textures and sensations. They also create different movements and ways of moving. The practices are a way of discovering, exploring and expanding our awareness of these elements.
EA 102 focuses on the connection or association of the 5 senses with the 5 elements. We explore in movement each element and it’s correlating sense in turn. The focus on our movement is noticing how holding awareness with a specific sense informs our movements and seeing if we can feel or understand the element through the sense perception that it governs.
